Quote is the forword for the new FAT LAVA bookalogue, see the press section .
He started with the FAT LAVA idea, big collector of glass and ceramics.

Quote:""I was first drawn to West German ceramics when I was working at Sotheby's in the 1990s. I felt rather sorry for them, being neglected in charity shops, taunted and laughed at. They were also so very different from what I was used to working with, and they were all I could afford at the time. When I met Graham, Patrick and Petra, and found kindred spirits, the 'Fat Lava' baby was born. Of all my collections, my Fat Lava vases are the things I pick up and smile at the most. The excitement of the owning a new piece is only narrowly matched by the thrill of the hunt."
He published the book on FAT LAVA.
Due to the succes, being the first publication on german ceramics in english, a new edition will be presented at the opening of FAT LAVA II.
The second edition of the FAT LAVA book can be pre-ordered / obtained at Mark Hill's website.

Quote:" I have been buying, selling & collecting WGP for about 7 years and I usually have 60-100 pieces for sale in my Retro Shop in Reading.
I currently have about 200 pieces in my personal collection, including a collection of over 100 different glazes in the Scheurich 401-28 handled vase."

Quote: "We became interested in these vases after seeing a friends small collection. It turns out they were made at a time of soring optimism and a explosion of creative expression. This happened in music, art, architecture and fashion. EG John Lennon IMAGINE, Andy Warhol's Campbells soup, the New York skyline, Long hair and mini skirts ect ect ect. We have over 1100 excellent examples from this innovative period of history."
They are known for being the west-german collectors in Australia, and that for a long time.

Quote: " We collect, buy and sell german ceramics since 2000. Our home is one big museum with german vases, wall-vases, wall-plates and other interesting ceramics, including studio and other european ceramics.
Being children of the seventies, these ceramics for us present the past, part now and part then. We collect by our taste, sometimes by form or company. Ultimate fat lava ceramics for us are the icelandic 'glit' ceramics, and one icelandic glit wall panel will be part of the FAT LAVA II show.
Our collection is between 1500 and 2000 pieces, about 2000 pieces are for sale on stock.
They are known for the very first commercial website on german ceramics 1950s-1970s www.outernational.info and collection website www.ceramics-glass.info .
